The North of England Horticultural Society (NEHS) is a leading gardening charity set up more than 100 years ago to support and promote horticulture across the north.
The society organises and runs the twice yearly Harrogate Flower Shows, widely regarded as the biggest and most prestigious independent shows in the gardening year.
The spring show, which takes place in April (26-29 April 2018), was rated Britain’s best gardening event by Which?Gardening , with its sister autumn show (15 – 17 September 2017) ranking third in the country. In addition to welcoming around 100 of the UK’s top plant nurseries, the shows feature the work of both established and up-and-coming garden designers and landscapers. The introduction of a new community category for Show Gardens has added further opportunities for amateur gardening groups to showcase their work to nearly 100,000 visitors and 1,000 exhibitors each year.
